I'm just going to come straight out and say it. Some people are scary.
Lets start with Brianne Chantal Patterson. Don't know her, you can read about her here. A couple months ago, I reported that police had to be called to the Once Upon a Time in Wonderland set in a local park because a paparazzi had claimed to have a machete!
This resulted in police being called and the police helicopter coming out. This is not a work of fiction, this actually happened. I wasn't the only person on set that day that heard crew recounting the tale.
Heck, even the paparazzi admitted it himself!
Now, Brianne used this tweet to write a sensationalist post on her Gossiping Pens website. Yes, Brianne is actually the one person team behind that website. A website that I helped her promote whenever she asked me to.
At first, Brianne got her story completely wrong on Gossiping pens. Saying it happened on Once Upon a Time and in the wrong woodland. I sent her a DM correcting her in confidence. But oh no, she had different plans. Instead of protecting her source (me) she went all out to name me and dragged show creator Adam Horowitz into the mix.
Adam at first denied that anything had happened on the set, but I asked if he could double check and he came back with a confirmation that there had been an incident. This didn't stop Ms. Chantal from continuing with the tall tale that she had weaved out of a 140 character tweet.
I had been warned to stay away from her by many people. People who didn't even like me gave me advice regarding her. But, being the person I am, I decided that I had nothing to worry about because I hadn't done anything to warrant any sort of negativity from this person. I even considered her to be a friend.
How wrong I was. As soon as she'd gotten what she wanted from me, she started a hate campaign against me. She even went so far as to call me, and a friend of mine liars for making up a story from set. Anyone reading this, be very careful about this person.
I should add that she hasn't just done this once, but twice. Sensationalizing a story that she got from Twitter to get attention to herself.
